General

The international standard series ISO 12647 conforms to the process standard offset (PSO).

The PSO describes a standardised procedure for producing printed materials; from the pre-press stage to the finished product. As a result, the production process can be qualitatively secured, from the creation of the print data to the finished product.

All production processes are controlled, tested and monitored using appropriate test equipment and control methods as described by the PSO. This includes measuring devices with densitometric and colorimetric properties, as well as the appropriate test elements, such as a print control strip or a media wedge. In addition, the offset printing process standard provides useful and feasible target values and tolerances for print production in terms of colour values and tone values, which must be adhered to in order to pass the certification.

Upon passing the test, you can measure, prove and demonstrate your quality!
